Abbeys Auctions was recently honoured with a trophy from Vinnies Victoria in recognition of our ongoing partnership and support — a moment that reflects more than generosity. It reflects shared values.
Neil Harvey, General Manager of Vinnies Victoria, along with Jason Hulbert, Business Development Manager of St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria, visited our Burwood auction house to present the award and tour our facilities. They met with Abbeys owners Amanda Brook and Hugh Farrelly to discuss the importance of worthy donations, sustainability, and the responsibility businesses carry within their communities.
Vinnies Victoria extended their thanks to Hugh and Amanda for their continued support and for welcoming their team to 80 Highbury Road, Burwood — noting the care and compassion shown by the Abbeys team.
For Amanda, the recognition was both humbling and meaningful.
“This is a lovely recognition of what Abbeys strives to achieve,” Amanda said. “Wherever possible, we want everything to be given a second life. Reducing landfill and ensuring items continue to serve a purpose is incredibly important to us — not just commercially, but ethically.”

Items donated include furniture, homewares, electrical and computing equipment, clothing, footwear and household goods — ensuring that quality items continue to support individuals and families in need.
